There are nearly 145 MILLION orphans today with no family to care for them, and at least 35,000 children under the age of five die every day due to malnutrition or starvation!

The Bible mentions at least 60 scriptures regarding orphans, the fatherless, or adoption.

A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows IS God in His holy dwelling.  God sets the lonely in families.   Psalm 68: 5 & 6

Are Christians today fulfilling our Biblical responsibility to care for orphans?

Starfish Orphan Ministry wants to bring about awareness as to both  the plight of orphans and our Biblical responsibility as Christians to care for them.  We want to encourage Christian families to adopt and foster children.  We also want to provide an easy avenue in which those who aren't called to foster or adopt, can help orphans both here and around the world!
